Alessandra Regina Santos is a PhD student in Social Anthropology at the Federal University of São Carlos, with research supported by FAPESP. Master in Social Anthropology (2014) and Bachelor of Social Science (2005) from the Federal University of São Carlos. Researcher associated at the Laboratory of Ethnographic Experiments (LE-E / UFSCar) and the Study and Research Group on power relations, conflicts and socialities (Hybris / USP / UFSCar). She currently develops research with quilombolas in the middle and lower Vale do Ribeira, São Paulo. Alessandra works on political ecology, the anthropology of science and the anthropology of Afro-Brazilian populations.
